Three decades of grinding war in Afghanistan have had a common denominator: a long, porous border with Pakistan. Today, those borderlands have become the spawning ground for Islamic militants challenging the governments in both countries. To explore the complex relationships among Afghan and Pakistani Taliban and governments, the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Century Foundation organized a luncheon discussion with an exceptional panel.
