Thomas Manz, Coordinator
Thomas Manz is Coordinator of the Dialogue on Globalization program at FES headquarters in Berlin. His work focuses on global governance mechanisms, political economy and the social dimension of globalization. Previous to his current position, he has been FES representative in Bolivia, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and for Cuba. Thomas Manz is a sociologist and holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Paderborn.

Marc Saxer, Co-coordinator
Marc Saxer is Co-Coordinator of the Dialogue in Globalization program. He is head of desk for global security at the Department for Development Policy. His work focuses on global and regional governance mechanisms. Before joining the FES in 2005, he implemented projects for Transparency International and for FES in Pakistan. Previous assignments at FES headquarters include the coordination of a project of political party assistance. Marc Saxer holds a Masters of Law from Hamburg University and a Masters in Political Science from Free University of Berlin.

Roswitha Kiewitt
Roswitha Kiewitt is in charge of the publication management for “Dialogue on Globalization” concerning Briefing Papers and Occasional Papers. She is organizing international conferences and incoming programs and responsible for the financial administration in both sectors. Since 2002 she is working at the FES in Berlin, Dep. for Development Policy. Formerly she was at the FES headquarters in Bonn working on administration and programs for the Dep. Latin America and the Caribbean. She joined the FES in 1989.

Monika Schneider
Monika Schneider is a desk officer of the Globalization Project at the Berlin Headquarter since November 2006 and is organizing international conferences and seminars. She joined the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in January 2003 and has worked in the Department for Development Policy ever since. Previously, she worked as a trade fair manager at the US office of Messe Frankfurt Inc. in Atlanta Georgia and in sales/marketing in the German steel industry.
